BREAKING: PDP caretaker committee chairman dies in Lagos Politics

- Chief Babatunde Osolanke, caretaker committee chairman of the Lagos state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is dead
- The PDP chieftain slumped and died at a popular hotel in Ikeja, the state capital
- He was rushed to the hospital, but was confirmed dead on arrival
A report by Daily Post indicates that the caretaker committee chairman of the Lagos state chapter of the PDP, Chief Babatunde Osolanke, is dead
According to the report, the PDP chieftain slumped and died at a popular hotel in Ikeja, the state capital.
He was reportedly rushed to the Lagos State university Teaching Hospital, Ikeja, after he slumped, but was confirmed dead on arrival.

Briefing journalists after the incident, chairman, media and publicity committee of the caretaker committee, Otunba Femi Careena, said Osolanke died while preparing to hold a meeting on the rescheduled party’s congress..
“We are in a mourning mood as I speak with you now, every one is sad”, Careena was quoted as saying.
He recalled that the deceased earlier attended a reconciliation meeting organised by the PDP national leadership.
The parley was meant to address the face-offs between senior members of the party in Lagos state.
Meanwhile, the body of Oluseye Adekunle, the man who jumped into the lagoon in Lagos, has been found.
The late Adekunle's body was discovered by a local fisherman today, Sunday, October 22, morning at about 5.00 a.m. floating by the river bank, around Lekki-Ikoyi bridge.
